Chuck Rozanski owner of Mile High Comics |
Mile High Comics owner Chuck Rozanski has announced that company is selling one of its two warehouses. Why are they doing this? The reason is specific to Colorado commercial real estate.
The reason is pretty simple the warehouse that Chuck bought 29 years ago has now tripled in value. This is in large part due to Colorado's marjinuana laws that prohibit growing the planet outside. Many large commercial buildings like Mile High's warehouse are permitted to be grow houses.
In Chuck's own words:
I simply could no longer ignore the stunning market appreciation caused by the change in the pot laws. In a nutshell, we can now sell the smaller of our two buildings for triple what we paid, thus injecting over a million dollars of fresh working capital into Mile High Comics. Given that our sales representative just closed on a similar building two weeks ago (at the same price as we are asking...), and that he had nine other bidders for that structure, we have little doubt that we will be needing to move out of 56th Ave. by March 31st.

The company expects to net above a million dollars and they plan to inject that capital back into the business. Given that company already has the biggest collection of comics in the world one can only imagine what they will do with this money. The company plans on taking their inventory at the 56th Avenue location and moving into the Jason Street location.
The company is beginning to offer steep discounts at its website in the hopes of reducing the amount of comics that will need to be moved.
